We thoroughly enjoyed a perfect holiday with Angelo! It was well paced, casual and well structured. Angelo was informative and interesting, and knew the best places to go and the best ways to see the highlights of Puglia. And the food! We enjoyed the delicious lunches every day and many other foodie experiences as well - authentic Puglian bread, cheese, pasties, cooking lessons and wine tasting. We thoroughly recommend the five day tour!

Angelo is the perfect host. Our 6 day exploration of Puglia was very thorough and enjoyable. Highlights for me were the wonderful restaurants we visited for lunch each day including the wine pairing Angelo suggested. The personal touches of visiting a winery, a cooking class and a demonstration of mozzarella & burrata cheese making made this tour very special.

We enjoy small group slow travel tours and Angelo has perfected this concept. Over six days, we were able to tour many of the important landmarks in Puglia and sample much of the local cuisine and some of the best local wines. Angelo is an experienced tour guide, very knowledgeable in the history and customs of the area. Highlights of the trip for us were visiting a working winery and talking with the owner, making and eating orecchiette pasta at a local farmhouse, and having lunch with a couple in their home and learning about life in Puglia. Six days well spent, looking forward to coming back.

Our week-long tour with Angelo (from Experience Puglia Tours) in Puglia was magical! I had never before used a tour guide for an entire trip, and could not have been more happily surprised! Every detail was arranged for, from the apartment stay in our small town, to the daily transportation. The trip was seamless. Angelo is wonderfully warm and knowledgeable, and shared the history of the region and each town, including the production of delicious regional specialties- olive oil, breads, wine and more! Our group of six were driven comfortably from town to town, where we wandered historic streets, gazed at ancient churches and learned about the rich cultural history of the region. The leisurely lunchtime meals were a highlight, with appetizers, pastas and wines all presented with local flavor and hospitality. Meals were slow and delightful, each dish that was presented was tastier than the last. Our companions from Canada and Australia made for a lively group and we wound our way around the small towns or gathered in the evening for a final toast. Bravo Angelo and thank you for the most beautiful trip! We hope to return soon!

Angelo’s tour of Puglia was an awesome way to discover this wonderful region of Italy. Angelo shares his extensive knowledge of the region’s rich history and culture in a passionate and captivating manner. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our 6 day tour and we appreciated its diversity. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful lunches and the opportunity to taste the typical foods and wine of the region. It was a lot of fun and we highly recommend the tour for anybody that wants to learn about Puglia’s rich history and culture.

If ever in or around the Puglia region you must check out Experience Puglia Tours. Angelo Coluccia was an amazing host by providing the best accommodations (apt) transportation to and from Bari airport and daily tours which included visits up to three towns each day. Some highlights were visiting churches and Basilica's, a store where cheese was made, wine tasking at a local vineyard, making pasta at a local farm house. Obviously the food was amazing, Angelo found us local restaurants with strong ties to their communities and took time to explain each wine for that particular meal. Great surprise was when he did some family history for my wife and planned a visit to her Grandparents town of Gravina. If you are looking for a guide that is well versed in history, food and culture than look no further than Experience Puglia Tours you will not be disappointed.

We just spent 4 full days with Angelo from Experience Puglia and it was like being guided through much of Puglia with our best friend. Every detail, from our meet/greet at the Bari train station on the first day until we stepped out of the van on our last day, was pure perfection. Angelo has several sample multi-day itineraries on his website, and we were able to mix/match to plan the perfect 4 day tour. In addition to seeing the sights, Angelo is passionate about his beloved Puglia region and brings the history of each place to life. In addition to seeing places we would have never seen on our own, Angelo planned for beautiful lunches and/or wine tasting each day, with beautiful food and gracious hosts.
